Is Jumbo actually a dog?
When Jumbo Pillow first arrived, he could barely jump, and had low exercise tolerance. After a short play session, Jumbo started to pant like a dog. Perhaps he did not get to play as much before. Now that he has been with us for several weeks, with plenty of playtime and interactions with other kitties, Jumbo is no longer panting and can easily jump around.

So, so cute!
ReplyDeleteAwe! We are glad his exercise tolerance is getting better! He looked pooped! LOL
ReplyDeletePoor Jumbo Pillow! He's tired. My Maine Coon does the same thing, he pants constantly when he's been playing. It worried me at first, but it's normal :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute. My kitty Luna was panting earlier today, too :D
ReplyDeletePansy and Dee Doo (blue-cream-point Himalayan and blue Persian) panted a lot after play sessions when they were kittens.
ReplyDeleteI think it is related to their tiny foreshortened noses. They can't get enough oxygen through their noses when they play rough, so after exerting themselves, they start to pant. It is important to give them little rest periods during play sessions, so they can catch their breath.
Jumbo is a gorgeous boy =)
ReplyDeletemy cat do that too..panting like a puppy..so cuteeeeee~
